WALT: improve our small ball skills and racket control skills.

Success Criteria
I think
My buddy thinks
I can balance and move the tennis ball on my racket.
Screen Shot 2014-06-26 at 1.54.35 pm.pngI cant because it dose not stay on my racket.

I can use the ‘temple’ position to hit the ball across the net to my partner.
Screen Shot 2014-06-26 at 1.54.23 pm.pngnot really because the ball keep on running away from me.
I can use my skills to play games like ‘just juice’ and ‘lobster tennis’.
Screen Shot 2014-06-26 at 1.54.23 pm.pngI cant really because the ball dose not let me hit it to my partner.
Use the smiley faces to help in your assessment…

Choose which smiley face you are and add a because to explain why that is what you have chosen.

When you slow down and watch carefully you can control the ball on your racket and hit the ball to your buddy over the net. It can be tricky playing those 'tennis' games but remember you don't have to win all the points to have loads of fun.

Haiku Deck

this is a app called Haiku Deck if you search it up on the app store you will have the time of your life!

WALT: summarise what we read

Success Criteria:
Find the key words
Record the main ideas
Retell what we have read

What have you learned? (What)
i have learned how haiku deck works and what it is
Why is it important? (So what)
because it can help you do your work instead of making an imovie you can make a slidshow
How are you going to use what you have learned? (Now what?)
i can use my learning that i used on haiku deck and use in in my writing
What is your next learning step (Now what?)
to no what to do first for my learning (writing) and make it a good sentence

You have summarised what you read by finding the main ideas and using the key words.
Remember to use the leaning intention when you are answering the reflection questions... what have you learned about summarising? Why is summarising important?

All about time

WALT: share our learning about telling the time

Success Criteria:
  • text and some images
  • check we have the correct time
  • clear message (explanation)

Blue Hat
What did I learn?
I learned how to do 1/4 past
yes my leaning buddy helped me with the time like 5 past 1.
Black Hat
What did I find the most difficult?
Trying to get all of it right
the parts when i have to reread all my sentences.
Green Hat
What would I do differently if I could start my learning about time again?
Try move all my hard work forward
yes i would try move all my work forward so i can be a better learner.

You and Helen worked well together listening to each other and supporting each other to make sure the times were correct and your explanation was clear. Keep on practising telling the time and those tricky 1/4 to's will become easier.

Potential and Kinetic Energy

WALT: create an i-movie to demonstrate kinetic and potential energy

How will we know our movie is successful?
ü   clear camera work (thinking about the sun, keeping the camera still-moving slowly, in focus)
ü   clear voices and image (volume, wind, background noises, mumbling)
ü clear message - might need to explain the images (text to match the words, is the science correct?)

Reflective Prompts:
I now know that: potential & kinetic is every where.
I enjoyed:the ending when we all let go of the swings.
The most difficult was:to try make our sentences clear so we can read it.
Working with my group was: fun because we worked as a team and we used each others ideas to help make the movie.
You have used the swing as a model to show your understanding of potential (stored) and kinetic (movement) energy. I am pleased you enjoyed working as a group and sharing your ideas. Remember to share your ideas during class discussions as well please Gaby.

Integrity

WALT: demonstrate integrity (The value for term 3 is: Integrity)
Task: We are going to create an i-movie.
ü We need to show an example of Integrity
ü Explain the definition of Integrity
ü Explain why our clip is demonstrating integrity
How will we know our movie is successful?
ü    up to 30 seconds long
ü   clear camera work (thinking about the sun, keeping the camera still-moving slowly, in focus)
ü    clear voices (volume, wind, background noises, mumbling)
ü clear message - might need to explain the images (text to match the words)
How do you feel about your integrity movie?
very good because it tells me what is good to do and what is bad to do!
What parts of it do you particularly like and why?
I like it when we show integrity
What did/do you enjoy about this your integrity movie
i enjoyed the parts with the good stuff that used for our movie

What a fabulous movie you have made. Your movie demonstrates how to show integrity by doing the right thing and how to not show integrity (messing up those beds!) I love how you worked together as a team to create such a fabulous clip.
Remember to add to details to your reflection so you can capture all your great ideas and learning.
